The day begins in Mendota outside St. Peter Church, where buses will transport pilgrims to the Cathedral of St. Paul. There, participants will celebrate Mass and enjoy a self-guided tour of the Cathedral. Afterward, pilgrims will set out on a scenic seven-mile hike back to Mendota. Upon returning to Mendota, guided tours of St. Peter Church will be available, followed by lunch at St. Peter’s Heritage Hall.
Cost: $10.00 per person
Please plan to have breakfast before the event, as lunch will be provided afterward.
The purpose of this event is to highlight three significant elements:
The grandeur of the Cathedral of St. Paul, the seat of our Archdiocese.
The beauty of God's creation, especially the Mississippi River Valley.
The historic significance of St. Peter Church in Mendota, the oldest continually operating Catholic church in Minnesota.
